Jim Rainey

Singer and guitarist with Belfast based bands “Cava” and “Craobh Rua”, Jim has played in almost every country in Europe as well as many tours in The USA. Cava just released their debut album “Sunrise” last year.

As a solo performer Jim draws inspiration from folk music amongst other styles and finds a place for it in his own music but it would be misleading to describe him as a folk singer. His songs played with 1 voice and guitar have a very contemporary spirit and he is as at home singing a Breton tragedy as he is singing a blues.
